WHAT IS LONG EXPOSURE PHOTOGRAPHY?
So, what exactly is Long Exposure Photography?
As the name suggests, this is a style of photography that involves using long exposures, or slow shutter speeds. That way, we can blur moving elements like water, cars, or clouds. The exact definition is a bit blurry but the majority of photographers agree that a long exposure begins when the shutter speed is too slow to capture sharp handheld images. That exact shutter speed varies by camera and focal length. It's not just landscape photographers who love this technique; it is also popular among other genres such as architecture, street photography, abstract, and culture. It is more common in certain areas of photography but the technique can be used in many ways.
WHAT IS SHUTTER SPEED?
Long Exposure Photography is a technique that requires a slow shutter speed. To fully understand the basics of this technique, it is therefore important to understand the basic settings of your camera, especially shutter speed.
Shutter speed is the amount of time the camera's shutter is open. This period is measured in seconds or fractions of seconds. A larger denominator, such as 1/1000, is a faster shutter speed than a lower denominator such as 1/10.
Below is an easy and practical exercise to see how shutter speed affects photos:
1. Place the camera on a tripod, table, or other place (another place) where the camera can stand steadily
2. Set the shutter speed to 1/1000 and have someone walk across the frame (or use a delayed shutter and do it yourself)
3. Adjust the shutter speed to 1/500 and repeat
4. Repeat again but this time using a slower shutter speed like 1/200, 1/20, 1/5 and end with 1 second
There's not much difference between the first few pictures (unless the person is running through the room). However, the image starts to look different after the shutter speed reaches 1/5 second.
At 1 second, the person walking across the room runs away, some will say it looks like a ghost!
IMPORTANT EQUIPMENT FOR LONG EXPOSURE PHOTOGRAPHY
1 Camera with manual function
It shouldn't be necessary to say that a camera is needed to shoot but I'll mention it.
Long Exposure Photography techniques can be achieved using most digital cameras (or even the latest smartphones). The main requirement is that it has the possibility to manually adjust the camera settings, such as ISO, aperture and shutter speed.
2 Sturdy tripod
Tripods are essential for Long Exposure Photography. I repeat. A tripod is essential.
Some might get creative and use a rock or other object to place the camera, but we both know that's a less flexible and robust solution. Keep in mind that this technique requires using a slow shutter speed, often stretching to seconds, or even minutes. In such situations, it is impossible to capture sharp images handheld.
3 Remote shutter release
Remote shutter release comes in handy when you are using Bulb Mode. This is not essential when shooting with exposure times under 30 seconds, but I recommend always using the camera's remote shutter release or delayed shutter function. This is an important step in reducing unwanted camera vibration.
4 Neutral Density Filter
The final essential tool for Long Exposure Photography is the Neutral Density filter. Those familiar with the technique might say it's possible to achieve long exposures without a filter as well. That's one hundred percent true, in some situations.
Neutral Density filters are more commonly referred to as ND filters. This is a dark filter that is attached to the lens to reduce the amount of light reaching the shutter. The darker the filter, the slower the shutter speed needed to capture a well-lit image.

B. Verbal and Nominal Sentences
Clues: Verbal sentences (V) are those, which start with a verb. Non-verbal sentences start with a noun or pronoun, or with derivative nouns. Verbal sentences consist of a verb + subject + object or adverbial phrase. The subject and object can be either nouns or pronouns. Nominal sentence (N) also known as equational sentence is a linguistic term that refers to a nonverbal sentence (i.e. a sentence without a finite verb). As a nominal sentence does not have a verbal predicate, it may contain a nominal predicate, an adjectival predicate, in Semitic languages also an adverbial predicate or even a prepositional predicate.

08 | set auto white balance, | V
09 | when you want to take the Golden Hours moment after sunset | N
10 | Adjust the composition and lock the focus | V |
C. Active and Passive Construction
Clues: Active sentence is a sentence where the subject performs the action of the verb. For example: John kicked the ball. ("John" is the subject. "John" is performing the action of the verb "kick." Therefore, this is an active sentence.) An active sentence is the opposite of a passive sentence. In a passive sentence, the action of the main verb is done to the subject. The passive voice occurs when the person or thing that performs an action is not the grammatical subject of the sentence. Instead, the person or thing that receives the action is placed before the verb. Passive sentences are formed using the verb to be combined with a past participle.

Apa itu Fotografi Eksposur Panjang?
Jadi, apa sebenarnya Fotografi Long Exposure itu?
#3 Pelepas rana jarak jauh
